Laco developed a unique method to achieve this special look, creating a natural patina on the watches.
Scuffs, scratches, discoloration, and signs of wear are meticulously reproduced to mimic the look of aged originals. Each component – the case, dial, hands, and strap – undergoes an individual and manual aging process, devoid of mechanical aids. Consequently, the resulting aging appears genuinely authentic, with no two watches being alike. This imbues the timepieces with the allure of historic artifacts, ensuring that each one is utterly distinctive, much like its owner!
We provide three different levels of aging:
- Level 1: The watch exhibits subtle signs of aging, with minimal or no scratches or grooves on the case.
- Level 2: The “standard” version showcases typical scratches and aging characteristics, as depicted in the pictures on our website. If no level selection is indicated, you will receive a watch at this level.
- Level 3: The watch displays pronounced signs of aging. Level 3 aging incorporates the same features as level 2 but also includes damaged portions of the luminous material on the hands.
Please bear in mind that the legibility of the watch is diminished when this option is chosen due to reduced luminous material.
By default, the “Erbstück” watches are produced at level 2.
